Grieving Time, a Time for Love
Barbara Bergen

If a loved one has departed,
And left an empty space,
Seek the inner stillness,
Set a slower pace.
Take time to remember,
Allow yourself to cry,
Acknowledge your emotions,
Let sadness pass on by.
Then center in the oneness,
Remember…God is here,
Death is but a change in form,
Your loved one is still near.
Treat youself with kindness,
Allow yourself to feel,
God will do the mending,
And time will help you heal.

My Dad died at home with family around him at 86. Five years later it’s difficult-I’m the oldest, yet family time is not the same

Betsy- this brought tears to my eyes. I must admit I have missed your posts but I appreciate you sharing that you are human.
Truly, life happens…and then we adapt and go on.
I try to reiterate to my kids: enjoy the now because it will change, appreciate each moment because it doesn’t last, and don’t expect perfection in yourself, yet be the best you can be, realizing that only you have that control.

I’ve found the in-ear thermometers can give a reading that’s off if the baby’s ear canal is too small. The forehead or temporal thermometers can be a better choice in that case. Plus I’ve found multiple household uses for the “gun” style infrared thermometers.
